MY NEIGHBORHOOD ISBy Eric Lopez |
||
the beautiful struggles transact the peers of my ancestors
living in between the streets of survival,
children of the Myans and Aztecs combine souls to sing delightful spanish molodies,
soothing on menudo and tamelas gasp greetings on each corner kissing my nose,
exposed by the eyes of Benito Juarez,
voice praises of equality through visions of Ceasar Chavez
casas de pueblos strive in respect amongst others surrounding in roles of honest to the youth,
swimming across hope rivers is incorrect its negetive, the real word is oppurtunity use,
its home, you see home is were we are all most confortable, were we are all most alive,
this isn't just a neighborhood, we are an art peice, these are my people
we are a tribe
