BEST FRIEND

A moment that changed my life definitely was when my best friend had passed away. I had gotten an important phone call one night after work, my mom told me she was picking me up. When she arrived, her eyes were glossy. She looked like if she had been crying.

She said, “I have some really bad news. Felix passed”.

My stomach felt tight and began to hurt, I just looked down and my eyes started to tear up. I didn’t know what to think because he had spent the weekend at my house. He went to Montana for the week and was in a car accident. It didn’t hit as hard till I got to the house.

I was sitting on the front steps for a couple hours sobbing. Losing a friend so fast, one who was so close to me was hard to believe. It made me a new person in a way. I now appreciate the people around me more because you never know when a close friend could pass away. Now I’m glad for the time in spending here, but I still think about my friend everyday.
