Once upon a time, the circus came to an amusement park in California. This event was the biggest ever and more than 500 people were expected. There were many parents and children going to the circus to have fun and see the best clown acts, but a mystery began. Some parents were coming out screaming and yelling loudly and hysterically about their children missing. The women were crying and the men were comforting them. Going into the circus, the parents left their kids in a place where they thought they were safe. When they went to get them, they were gone. The mystery needed to be solved and many people knew who to go to, Cynthia the wonderful, and her sidekick, Carina the incredible.
“The clown was dressed in all red, with his face painted white with no designs, and green hair,” the parents said.
The clowns that were going to act in the show were asked many questions by the detectives; if they knew who the clown was, or if they had criminal records of any of the clowns there.
Cynthia approached one sad clown and asked him, “Hey Bozo, do you know who this clown is? Do you know any clowns with a criminal record? Do you have one?”
“I don’t have one and I have never seen this clown, and I know all the clowns here,” said the clown.
After looking at many records Cynthia and Carina came to the rescue in their red convertible. They were the best detectives in the world. The mystery needed to be solved. The first girl to be looked for was Perla. Her mom was crying in disbelief that her daughter was missing.
“Where was the last place you saw your daughter?” asked Carina.
“The last time I saw her, that ugly clown had taken her to the washroom by the main entrance. Please help me find my daughter,” she begged Officer Abigail.
When Cynthia the wonderful and Carina the incredible spotted Perla’s blue ribbon in the parking lot, they ran towards it and saw that the ribbon was pointing south. They used the ribbon as one of their clues to rescue all the missing little kids. They figured the clown couldn’t have gone far because Perla’s ribbon was in the parking lot, so they must be around somewhere. After a while of desperate searching for more clues, they realized that the ribbon was not pointing south but to a black truck. Since it was dark outside, Cynthia and Carina couldn’t really see what was inside the truck but they noticed that the truck was suspicious, mostly because it was behind a tree, and the license plates weren’t from California.
Usually people don’t park behind a tree, you could get a ticket for that. It seemed odd to Carina and Cynthia. They started getting closer and they noticed that the license plates name said “Sam Bente.” The back of the truck had a sticker with a number on it. The stickers’ numbers were 211951351420.
“Hey Cynthia, do you think these numbers could be an anagram?” asked Carina.
Cynthia said, “I don’t know, why don’t we check and see.”
After they checked, they found out that the number spelled basement by using an anagram code in which all the letters from basement were numbered as if in the alphabet. They then just assumed that last four digits might just give them the address. Afterwards, they went to talk to the clowns working at the circus to see if they knew something about the clues found. When they got back, Perla’s mom, the young, thin, beautiful woman had make up running down her cheeks, and was still crying in desperation to see that her daughter had not yet been found.
Officer Abigail gave Cynthia and Carina a record of the clown “Sam Benten,” which said he had been charged for many violations against children and arrested many times for driving under the influence of alcohol. He had been in an asylum for 13 years and was now on probation. It said that he didn’t have a stable house or living place, and he was last found living in a bunker under ground which he dug up to make a home for himself. When they saw all the information in his record, they decided to go back and search to see if there was any sign of him living around. They found a big piece wood under the truck covering up a hole. Cynthia the wonderful and Carina the incredible called Officer Abigail.
“Officer Abigail, may we please get some more security, we just found where this Sam Benten might be at.”
“Sure, we will be there in less than 10 minutes, be careful he’s dangerous,” said Officer Abigail.
As soon as everyone got to the location, it was midnight and it was very dark, but this was a big mission to accomplish. Cynthia the wonderful and Carina the incredible wanted to save the night by completing the families again and the circus giving its biggest function of the year. Cynthia and Carina, followed by the police officers and parents, removed the wood and saw a big hole where many shadows were moving. One of the shadows was getting closer to the end of the hole where Cynthia, Carina, the police officers and parents were.
This shadow was big, scary, and had a lot of hair. When the shadow disappeared for a moment, everyone at the entrance of the hole, Cynthia, Carina, the police officers and parents, took the initiative to jump in and start looking for anybody or clues that will lead them to finding the children. Deeper in the hole there was another wooden door covering up “Sam Benten.”
“Leave my territory,” he screamed.
“Never,” said Cynthia and Carina in unison. Where are the kids at? Give up; it will be better this way.”
Sam Benten screamed, “I love kids; these are my kids, especially my dear Perla.”
“No not her, she’s my daughter, give her back,” said Perla’s mom, who made her hands into fists. She was ready to fight to get her daughter back.
Carina, who was shorter and lighter, jumped on Sam Benten’s back to try and distract him while Cynthia grabbed his arms so Officer Abigail could handcuff him and take him to the police station. He was taken and asked many questions;
“Why do you like to kidnap kids?” asked Officer Abigail.
“I love to make parents suffer the way I suffered when I lost my little girl, Pricilla, in an accident in a circus at this time of the year.”
After searching in the hole for the children, they were found. They were afraid to even look at the clowns, they all wanted to eat and go home to rest. Since the children had to get rid of their fear, Cynthia and Carina decided to take the children back to the circus and confront every clown there. Spending time with the clowns made the children see that not every clown is bad and that many of the clowns were nice and were there to make kids laugh and have a fun time.
Sam Benten was charged and placed in prison for life. At last Cynthia the wonderful and Carina the incredible were done with their job. As a reward, Carina got her a new blue convertible and Cynthia got a pink convertible. Also, both got the happy feeling of saving Perla and the rest of the kids.
